Thank you Deems for running Tuesday's meeting. See, you really can't "break Rotary".
We all know this is the busiest three months of the year for our club's fundraising efforts. Step one is complete. Fantastic job to everyone involved in the Peach Festival. We had perfect weather, fun music and lots of people enjoying great food and peach themed beverages. I hope to hear from the Peach Festival Committee in the next few weeks on how the numbers look.
Step two: our 1st Annual Fort Collins Duck Race. Remember, this is our club's event. We will need significant help on September 7th. Please sign up at our Tuesday meeting or let Lisa know at lisadunne5050@gmail.com
Also, please encourage everyone you know to adopt a duck....or purchase a "Quack Pack" to receive extra ducks entered to win cash prizes.
Our program next Tuesday the 27th will be at the Marriott and our speaker is someone I know personally and really admire: Qudratulla "Q" Hamidzai
An Immigrant from Afghanistan, Who Helped and Support US troops in Afghanistan
Qudratulla will Talk about his previous life and current living conditions and how he got support from Fort Collins community to stand back on his feet
We have our club's Board of Directors meeting immediately after our club meeting on Tuesday. All members are welcome to attend.
