Happy October!   It was great being back at the Marriott last week and inducting two new members.  Welcome Gensis and Kim to our club!  It was also special celebrating Carol Stein's retirement from the Marriott.  We are so appreciative of all that she and the rest of the team at the Marriott have done for us over the years.  It was also great having our friends from Big O come.   Their support of the Pickleball Tournament has been great.  I want to thank Mark for developing a great relationship with this company!   

 

Our speaker today will Cynthia Eichler from Visit Fort Collins.  As CEO, she will discuss Visit Fort Collins's role in promoting local tourism and the impact that tourism has on our local economy.   

 

Next week we were scheduled for an offsite but our original speaker was not able to make the presentation they wanted to do.  Therefore we won't be meeting on Tuesday.  However I want to encourage as many in our club to attend the Rotaract Fall Festival.   The festival will be on October 16th from 5-7 PM.  The fair will be at the Forestry Building on Campus.  The address is 1001 Amy Van Dyken Way.  This is just south of the Oval.   With this event being in the evening there should be good parking options.   I'm hoping that as many of our members can make this.  I have attached a link where there is more information for the event and tickets can be purchased.  CSU Rotaract Fall Festival | Rotary Club of Fort Collins (Foothills)

 

Finally, I wanted to remind everyone that we have our Alumni Lunch coming up November 4th!   I want to thank those of you who have been calling alumni that you know to invite them to the event.  I know we have several RSVP's already and we are expecting several more to be able to make it.    As I mentioned last week, please don't worry if multiple people call the same person!
