Greetings and Happy July! I hope each of you had a safe, socially-distanced holiday weekend. Engage with us as we kick off the 2020-21 year and together let's open opportunities for our club members, our community and our world.
Our first opportunity is to Bring Hope in Times of Crisis by donating to our campaign to support the child care and learning needs of our community's children. Learn more by clicking HERE to learn about and donate to this great project.
Our club leadership continues to monitor the recommendation and guidelines of our county and state to determine when it may be safe to meet in person for those who are able and comfortable to gather. We are working with the Marriott to determine how we also create a meaningful Zoom link to connect our members who are more vulnerable to participate at the same time. We will keep you posted as we have more details.
Our speaker for our noon group meeting this week is Kevin Unger, President/CEO, UC Health Northern Colorado Regionto learn about how COVID-19 is affecting the delivery of health care in our community and impact on the future of health care. Note the new Zoom link below.
SAVE THE DATE: Club Rotation Day on July 28 - a bike ride for our bicyclists, tour of Noosa yogurt for cyclists and non-cyclists and social distanced lunch at Howling Cow Cafe. We are working on topics for Zoom participants as well.
Food for thought: You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending - C.S. Lewis
Our evening meetings are held every other Tuesday. Right now we're using Zoom to meet. Our next meeting is July 7, 2020 at 5 pm. It's a good way for members to stay in touch and keep up-to-date on what's happening in the club.
Most volunteer activities with the Donor Trail, Putnam School and MorningStar Assisted Living are on hold, however we are currently working to identify some volunteer projects members can participate in.
Stay well,
Newt Wyler
