Thank you all for a wonderful event Thursday supporting Slammin' Famine! It was a whole lot of fun, as was the social event afterward.
- 213 volunteers in just this one shift
- 297 boxes packed
- 64,152 meals packed
- 175 children are fed for a YEAR
- $1100 monetary donations from our club
I was especially proud to hear that ten years of events in Loveland/Windsor/Fort Collins have packaged 5 MILLION MEALS working with Feed My Starving Children. Remember that our fines on 2/27 and 3/5 are earmarked for supporting this donation.
I'm proud to announce a couple of wonderful events, and registration is open for both.
On Tuesday May 7, JD is bringing in Astronaut Dottie Metcalf-Lindenburger to our noon meeting. We're inviting the other Fort Collins clubs and some STEM students and teachers. Find out more and register.
And as I mentioned Tuesday, registration is now open for our Mental Health First Aid training on Monday April 22nd, 5:30pm. It's a two hour QPR class at SummitStone's Longview site where we visited in October, and the cost is underwritten by SummitStone. We have a hard limit of 30 attendees and are inviting all the Rotarians in Fort Collins, so snap your position up quickly! Registration here.
We need some help on the Membership Committee! The three areas are attraction (recruiting new members), onboarding (helping new members to integrate into the club), and engagement (helping all members to bring their passion to the club's success). If you are interested or have questions, please connect with Deems Hargleroad!
Note that there is no meeting this Tuesday, we're taking it off for the Presidents' Day holiday.
