Serving Has Always Been My Passion….

I am a second-generation born Spaniard/Mexican. My paternal grandparents met on the boat over from Spain and my maternal grandparents are from Mexico. I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and am proud to be a California girl. I have two brothers, one in Spokane and the other in the Bay Area. I started my work career with Hewlett-Packard in Palo Alto and gave them 25 years of my life. My various positions led me to Seattle and ultimately to Fort Collins. My experiences include Corporate Legal, Manufacturing, R&D, and Sales & Marketing.

While in Seattle, I was a Big Sister to a young girl of 10 years and was matched for four years before moving to Colorado. We stayed in touch and I attended her high school graduation. Once in Fort Collins, I became a Senior Partner with Partners of Larimer County and was matched with an at-risk teen of 13 years. We still see each other every month. I also volunteered in the Poudre School District at Laurel Elementary School, teaching kindergarteners for the last five years.

I left HP in 2000 to volunteer my time to short-term missions with Timberline Church. Initially, it was only to be a year, but after my first missions trip to Bulgaria, I was hooked! I serve on the Advisory Board for missions and am responsible for the missions warehouse as well as managing a group of volunteers who process pharmaceutical drugs for the medical teams that go to the various third world countries. I have served as an optician and know enough to be a pharmacist as well.

After 22 years with HP, my husband quit and followed his dream to have his own company. Together we are co-owners and love working together. He is the President and CEO and I am the Chairman and Treasurer of Vista Solutions Corporation. I’m also the HR and Business Manager and I oversee the marketing department as well. In a small company, you do it all!

My passion in life is serving others in a way that will change their lives. It’s my work with children, teens and missions, together with my influence on my husband, Bob, that has birthed Vista Changes, our non-profit. We hope to further change the lives of third world countries by equipping students with computers and associated peripherals so they, too, can make a difference in their own lives and the lives of their families and communities.
