John Pfeiffenberger

John Pfeiffenberger was raised in Cheyenne and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a journalism degree and a hankering for a Pulitzer.

That never happened so after 28 years in the newspaper business he and his wife Connie sold the Fort Collins Triangle Review newspaper in 1992 and he retired for two years. Then this great job as a travel planner for the Senior Center came up and he decided that he would be good at that. So he was hired in 1994 and hasn't yet been fired.

He has two daughters and five beautiful, intelligent and gifted grandchildren. One daughter and husband live here in Fort Collins with three children and the other daughter, husband and two children adopted from China are in Denver.

John's a past Foothillls Rotary president, former board member, produced the Rotoreader for many years, served on the program committee, foundation board, etc. His proudest accomplishment - outside of being a grandpa - is starting Rotary's weekly football pool in the mid 1980s. But he hasn't won a weekly football contest in years.
