Dave McDaniel

Although I was born and spent my formative years in San Diego, being part of a Military family, I had the opportunity to grow up in many places in and out of our country. My childhood included growing up in San Diego, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and finally in Spain where I spent most of my high school years.

My family was transferred back to San Diego for the last 6 months of my senior year where I graduated from Sweetwater High School. I then spent two years at San Diego City College and transferred to San Diego State where I graduated with a degree in Telecommunications.

While attending San Diego State, I worked part time at a local hotel in the Housekeeping department. After I graduated college, I continued working in that hotel while looking for work in my field of study. When nothing materialized in the area of Telecommunications, I pursued several opportunities that became available to me within the hotel and eventually made this my career.

Throughout my 21 year career with Marriott hotels I have worked in Los Angeles, Hollywood, Philadelphia, Bermuda, Florida, Las Vegas, Anaheim and finally Colorado. I have been fortunate enough to have worked and been promoted through almost every position in the hotel business culminating with my current role of General Manager.

I have no family having never been married but enjoy visiting my Mother who still resides in San Diego. In my spare time away from work I enjoy watching movies, restoring my classic 1971 Chevy Malibu and attending sporting events. I am a very big fan of sports teams from San Diego and Los Angeles and enjoy trips to California on a frequent basis.

I am honored to have been considered and accepted as a member of the Foothills Rotary Club here in Fort Collins and look forward to being a very active and productive member in the years to come.
