John A Davis

I was born and raised in Grand Junction, Colorado on my family's peach orchard. As a kid I enjoyed playing sports and the great outdoors with my family. I graduated from Grand Junction High School and then went to Mesa State College.

I graduated from Mesa State with a BBA in Finance and Management and a minor in Economics. It was at Mesa State that I started dating my soon to be wife Dawn. We had met and were friends in high school but didn't start dating until our junior year of college.

After graduating from college, we moved to Breckenridge where we both started jobs at local banks. It made for interesting dinner conversation with both of us working for competing banks. After 4 years of working, skiing and shoveling snow, we decided to move somewhere that actually had 4 seasons, versus Breckenridge's two seasons, winter and "not" winter.

Dawn took a transfer with FirstBank to Fort Collins and this is where we have been for the last 8 years and have loved every minute of it. I took a job helping a small non-profit manage their loan fund. While working there, I enrolled in Regis University where I obtained my MBA in Finance. I was offered a position as a Financial Analyst with CoCreate Software, a subsidiary of Hewlett Packard. I spent over 5 years there until I made the decision to make a career change and become my own boss. I joined RE/MAX as a real estate broker, were I have been for the last 10 months. It has been a great move and I wish I had made the career change sooner.

When I'm not working I spend my free time with Dawn and our 2 daughters, Ashlyn (6) and Brooke (2). We enjoy skiing, golf, ice skating, soccer, biking, hiking, fishing, and really just about anything to do with the outdoors. We are avid sports fans and enjoy attending and cheering on the local professional and amateur sports teams.

I'm excited to have been accepted as a member of the Foothills Rotary Club and look forward to many years of service.
