Charitable Foundation:

"A College education for just one person enriches the lives of many and strengthens the entire community."
The non-profit Foothills Rotary Charitable Foundation was founded in 1989 with the goal of funding scholarships for non-traditional college students:
Who have a dream; who exhibit the intelligence, character and dedication needed to turn that dream into a reality; and who need a little help along the way.
We think of our scholarship students as
"stars on the horizon."
There are eight scholarships currently offered by the Foundation. Scholarship applicants are interviewed by the Foundation’s directors, who are looking for individuals who show promise and dedication as students. Frequently, scholarship recipients are single parents who are striving to enter into business or a profession. These students have the determination to become contributing members of our community, often with the goal of helping others, as they have been helped. Priority is given to students who are ineligible for other types of student aid.
Foothills Rotary Charitable Foundation scholarships provide funds for fees, books, and tuition to regional, accredited colleges, universities and other educational institutions. Recipients of these four-semester scholarships are required to take 12 credits or more each semester and to maintain a 3.0 grade point average.
We’ve been gratified to watch many Rotary scholarship students graduate with honors . Our community has been enriched by their contributions in the fields of horticulture, computer science, counseling, industrial technology, nursing, and special education.
