District 5440 Officers

Like every Rotary club, our officers and Board of Directors are supported at the district level.

District Governor

Mary McCambridge is our District Governor for the 2011-2012 term. Mary is Senior Vice President and Community Relations Director for Home State Bank. Rotary has been a focus and a passion for Mary even before joining Rotary in 1993. She served as show coordinator of the Governors Art Show which was showcased in the bank building where she worked and loved working with the artists and Rotarians that put on the fundraising Art function each year. After attending a few Rotary meetings she was hooked and has been active in Rotary ever since.

Mary's husband Jim is a professor at CSU in the Business College. He is a Rotarian in the Fort Collins Breakfast Club. They have a family of five children ranging and six grandchildren. Mary lists scuba diving, snow skiing, arts, gardening, golf, music and travel as things she loves to do with her "spare" time.

Literacy on many levels will be a focus for Mary's term as DG. Not just literacy for children, but for our communities. A quote by Gene White which Mary feels embodies our Rotary mission:
"Peace begins when the hungry are fed ~ and the future begins when they are educated."

Assistant Governor

Phil Murphy is the Assistant Governor for our club for the 2011-2012 term. Phil is the Information Technology Division Manager for the Colorado State Forest Service an agency of Colorado State University for 33 years.
